![]() The game is Deeeeep! The other reviewer did a great job at telling the story line, so I won't bore you with the same stuff. Like most search and destroy games there are puzzles to solve, keys to find, things to blow up, and baddies to kill. You set it on the ground and it walks until it hits something, then boom, another one bites the dust. I love the fact that after you shoot an enemy you get to rob them of their pocket change, then after you collect enough credits, you then can buy all kinds of cool stuff! I.E.: New guns, spider bombs, health, armour, and other goodies. It took me a while to get used to the control, this is only my third game with the 3/4 perspective, and I suck at any new type of game-play, but I sucked it up and kicked it's ass! Once you get used to it, it rocks. Proceed thru the install, I used FULL Video and SB16 Soundīack to D-Fend, Right Click on Crusader: No Remorse and select Edit ProfileĬhange the Game EXE to C:\Program Files\D-Fend\Games\Crusader\CRUSADER.Crusader: no remorse is an amazing game that I never heard of before a year ago, and it is sweet! The game is a shoot-um-up set in the 22nd century, and has a look down at an angle perspective ( sort of like Sonic 3-D Blast ) and is divided into missions, each with there own objectives and places. In D-Fend window, Right Click on Crusader: No Remorse and select Edit Profile Select Drive, C:\Program Files\D-Fend\Games\ Select Drive, C:\Program Files\D-Fend\Games\CrusaderCD\ I used 12000 cause I saw that posted elsewhere. Setup EXE is C:\Program Files\D-Fend\Games\CrusaderCD\INSTALL.EXEĬycles need set for your system. Game EXE is C:\Program Files\D-Fend\Games\CrusaderCD\CRUSADER.EXE (use this for now so D-Fend will allow you to proceed, this will need edited later) ![]() This is a detailed explaination on how I got it to work for me and it should work for others.Ĭreate a game folder to store your games in, I used C:\Program Files\D-Fend\Games\Ĭreate a folder to copy your CD to, I used C:\Program Files\D-Fend\Games\CrusaderCD\Ĭopy all files from the CD to the CrusaderCD folder. I am using d-Fend v2 Front End and DOSBox 0.65. Here is what I did to get it to work after many attempts. įor those still having problems getting this game to work from the original CD. Oh just to let you know I'm running through DosBox, AMD64 1.99, 768MB, ATI RadeonXpress200M w/ 128MB. personal i don't see how editing the in game videos would help alter game play graphics but I'm trying everyting here. I have tried full/partial install and Small/large videos. I also tried to copy them over to the C drive but There is no Flicks folder in the C:\Crusader folder to place them in. I reinstalled the vids to my "D:\oldgames\remorse but nothing changed. I heard you can try reinstalling or copying the vid files off of your cd but that's not working. I've had some issues with the intro but I can get past that and I've fixed cycles up to 11000 so It dosn't bog down and lock up on the video sequences.īut now when the gameplay starts I just have the characters chiiling with a black background. who knew there would be two files with the same name. Okay I can boot up.it ends up I was editing the nf txt file not the nf config file. oh yeah, and i remember falling in the toxic waste when an explosion hits the bridge int he first map, haha!Ĭant wait to play, love places liek this site, this ones my fav. Main thing i didnt like about this game was it seems there is less stuff to blow up, and you get a semiautomatic pistol instead of that sweet assault rifle that you get in the other game, the second one. i had trouble getting both of them to work back in the day when i owned them.įor those interested, i'm running an old pc that is got true dos support, with win98 platform, (although not being used at the moment of course )Īlthough, i'm gonna try out this dos box thing i hear is such a miracle worker (i hope it is, old games are hell to get started! XP is not fossil friendly!) since i couldnt get the games to work on my "true" computer, i might as well try dosbox on winxp. Geez, this really just seems to be a quirky game. ![]() it's searching for file static\typeflag.dat in file/file.c i've noticed others have had simliar troulbes. ![]() i liked no regret more though, but i'm havin a bit of trouble figuring out whats wrong.
